On the inside under stairs.
Screw and quality wood glue some vertical wood strips (legs) on inside of first step.
Make blocks and glue and screw under stairs to make solid.
I've had to remove steps to get under to fix stairs like that. If you can get under it's much easier and just use common sense.
Probably made on site Vs buying as a kit?
Who knows..
Just strengthen
