Dear All - this is my first post. Has anyone got any advice on how to support a stair landing? As you can hopefully see from the picture our landing is at present supported by a pin wall beside the fridge. (it was originally a cupboard) Ideally we would like to take out the wall and the small cupboard beside it and have a bigger fridge. But obviously the stair landing has to be supported in some way. Any ideas? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

First off, what construction are we looking at here - landing itself, timber, concrete or other? - stub/pin wall, brick ?? and what's the layout of the wall/kitchen that can be seen in the pic. Oh! and what lengths are you prepared to go too ??? ...pinenot :)
