2 ceiling roses 1 switch

hi,

i have 2 ceiling roses each with a red wire, black wire and an an obvious eath wire on one and the other light has similiar wire without green/yellow but presume is the other easrth. everytime i connect the lights, it trips out the house. i am currently wiring red to brown and black to blue and wiring in the earth. each wire from the ceiling rose has 1 terminal block. what am i doing wrong?
