I have recently moved to a bungalow, and need to fit a cat flap in the front door. I'm skint at the moment, so would like to do this without having to replace the whole door. Can I just replace the panel in the middle of the door (the one held in by the beading), and where would I get a new panel from? Failing that, would it be possible to just replace the door and use the existing frame? Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Also, the picture below is a door in the bedroom. Would it be possible to fit an opening window either in place of the window above the cat flap, or even in the window in the door?

Thanks for any help.

Easier and lot neater without having to altered the door is to make a 18mm plywood section like a tunnel through the wall, I have a cat tunnel from the dining area to the conservatory, if the cats get hot out there they can come back in without opening the patio doors
