Sorry if this has been asked before. i have a fused spur in the airing cupboard which currently powers the shower. this runs from the main fuse box. My question is can i put in another fused spur connected to the first? i need to install a pump for the water to the bathroom taps. i have (in a very amateur way) sketched what i mean. is this feasible / possible?

Thanks in advance...

Yes, just a radial circuit.
What size is the cable from fuse board? Presumably its the old immersion heater cable and fuse?

Yes.

You don't need another Fused Connection Unit (the cable is the spur) unless you want them switched separately; just connect the cable to the Load/Out connections of the first.

not sure of the exact size. it was put in to feed the shower switched spur. its a large cable, i would say 6mm but could be wrong. i will check once im home.

Did you consider rearranging the plumbing so that you could use the same pump for shower & taps?

I see no RCD in that diagram.

Most shower/pump manufacturers mandate the use of a 30mA RCD. RCDs are always a good thing to have where water, electricity and people come together..

Theres an rcd on the main fuse that the spur comes from . Is that sufficient?

If it is 30mA, yes.

What size cable is the main circuit wired in?
