dear reader

in my garage i have a setp-up with the following: two tube lights and one 2G(2W) switch used to operate both lights. as it is inconvenient and unsafe (in the dark) to walk over to the switch there currently, i would like to fit another 2W switch. this must also operate both lights indpendantly. could someone therefore please illustrate how to wire the new switch to this criteria. thank you.

btw the terminals on 2 gang switches go together in triangles not in rows ;)

anyway it sounds like the two switches are totally independently wired, one is being used as a one way and the other as part of an existing two way system.

you will probablly need to use a grid plate at the existing switch position as you will need a switch with a two way gang and an intermediate gang.
