2 inch gap behind shower screen

Hi all,
Seems I've found the source of a leak which has obviously been there for years. When I fitted the shower tray I forgot to seal behind the 2 inch section of frame and despite trying to fill from behind with silicone the water from the shower is getting through and out. Is there an easy remedy for this that does not involve me removing the screen and frame just to silicone that tiny section ?

Do it right and take the screen off. Where is it leaking to? Out the side onto the bathroom floor?

Yeah, just an update on this, I just couldn't bare to remove the screen completely so I siliconed the internal part of the frame and fitted a removable fascia to the front of the tray to check for leaks. I slide the glass up and temporarily wedged something underneath it so I could put some silicone in there. I've definitely learnt my lesson here as this is a leak which was occuring over years and years. I'm going to be constantly checking on it and if the fix doesn't work I will remove the whole frame and screen.
