2" to 40mm reducer

I've just unscrewed what I think is a rodding point for my galv. steel soil pipe. Its a taper thread with a diameter of about 59mm.

I think this is a 2" BSP fitting, does that sound right or is it more likely to be a 2 1/2" or something else?

Also, assuming I'm right, whats the best way to convert this to 40mm waste? I can't find a 2" male to 40mm female bush or reducer.

Oh, any idea if I could shove in one of the rubber bosses that are used on plastic pipe? I think they're about the right size...

Thanks

2" BSP is 59.6mm so what you have is most likely that allowing for measuring errors.

Get a 2" female iron to 50mm mupvc connector and then use a 50-40 reducer, Terrain make them, other makers probably do as well. (or male iron if you are going into a female thread)

Thanks. McAlpine do an adaptor thats 2" male to 1 1/2" compression. Would that do both jobs together?
