2 wires in 1 terminal on switch

Is it good practice to insert 2 wires side by side in 1 terminal of switch. In my example the 2 wires would be the common wire and a feeder wire to another switch.

Any responses appreciated.

It's fairly essential in many circuits, and the terminals are usually designed to take 3 or more

Yes, it is good practice to put two (same sized) wires side by side in a terminal.

Do not criss-cross the wires, also do not twist the wires together.

With the diagram above it is possible to easily alter the wiring so there is only one wire in each terminal, but for the description in the first post the answer is in the other thread.
