hi

replacing carpet etc noisy floor boards

How often do 22mm flow/return need to me clipped to joists ( checking before recarpeting)? Noisy floor boards are going to screwed down too every joist or every other ? What size screws recommended ?

TIA

How often? Do you mean the maximum distance between pipe clips?

It depends on the pipework material. If copper, then one per metre is likely to be adequate. If plastic, then Hepworth (for example) recommend every 0.5m on horizontal runs and 0.8m on vertical runs.

If the pipes are notched into the joists upstairs then clipping them will probly make them noisier.
