Hi, anyone out there know if I want to make up a light to plug into a wall socket with a 22w Ring Tube Bulb, as well as a ballast do I also need a transformer? Thanks for any help )
providing the electronic ballast is rated for the voltage your using to run it, I assume in your home where you live then no, you wont need a transformer
If you opt for an old style choke, rather than an electronic ballast then you will also need a starter and starter holder.
im not sure you will get an electronic ballast to run a 22w tube nowadays,
you may have to opt for a newer thinner circular tube or 2D lamp and get an electronic ballast, for that, which wont be 22watt
note, a 21 watt electronic ballast for a straight tube may not be suitable for a 21watt circular tube
