Hi guys I have an old basin waste which is a 28mm copper pipe, I want to re use the majority of the exsisting pipe and renew with a 32mm plastic up through the floor to the new sink i'm putting in. What is the best way to connect the 32mm plastic to the 28mm coper? Thanks Chris

Hi Chris.

Are you sure it's 28mm copper pipe? Should it be 35mm?

You can use a white waste pipe compression coupling but you may have trouble sealing onto 28mm copper pipe.

Dan.

Hi Dan, yes i'm pretty sure from memory its 28mm Its not at home its at my inlaws. Hmm.. I thought about compression but did think i'd struggle to get it to seal with a 4 mm difference. How would wrapping ptfe tape around the copper to get its diamater up, would that work? Cheers.
