Can i ask if this is the right thing to get?

http://www.onlineplumbingsupplies.co.uk/acatalog/HoneywellMotor.pdf

I took a look at the bit in the airing cupboard and its honeywell V4073.

Is it easy to replace? inexperienced DIYer here. Any instructions on line??

Just to clarify - just this bit needs replacing and not the whole head replacement unit which i think looks like about £50.

Thanks again!!

Just look at the picture in your link; there are 2 holes for fixing screws. So with your system turned off, take your old one off and replace with this, straight swop mechanically. Electrically, 2 wires. Again look at your existing one to see how easy it is.

if its stuck it aint likely the motor thats yer problem I would have said

can you move the spindle with your fingers?
