I need to connect a new electric cooker to an existing radial cooker circuit that has 4mm wire (it is less than 5m from consumer unit). However, I need to extend the wire from the control unit by about 2 foot to reach the new appliance. Can I use a standard 30A junction box to connect between the cooker and the control unit? or is there a better way to safely join the wires? :?:

For the sake of 5m, replace it and while you're at it, future-proof it!!
