4 arm spotlight no longer works

Hi - I have a 4 arm spotlight that has stopped working, replaced all bulbs initially. Before it stopped working altogether there was a period of time when if you switched the lights on there would a second delay before they lit up. I have also replaced the wall switch incase that was the problem.
Could it mean that a new transformer is needed? Also half the bathroom downlighters have stopped working too, is it all linked?

Try your unnessecary new bulbs in the bathroom.

Depends on size and type of tx.

When putting in new lamps, make absolutely certain that you use the same wattage as the old ones.

When transformers are overloaded they do strange things, or just stop working.
