I really can't understand why some people are so quick to dismiss an idea, yet they won't tell you what you should be doing instead.

Mind you, a quick Google search for 'Boiler Interlock' returns a wealth of results. Here is just one of many. Pay particular attention to any mention of room stats - you would be best to install one per zone, along with the obligatory cylinder stat, which will prevent the boiler firing when there is no demand for heat.
