Hey.

Looking to sand back my stairs - remove years of varnish and paint. I have taken as much of the varnish off with stripper and a scraper so I'm now left with the in-grained stuff.

I've got a 1/2 sheet orbital sander to shift the bulk of the crap but the lowest grit sheet I can find for it is 60grt. This grit does work on some of the lighter paint and round the nose but is not really shifting the heavier stuff.

I used 40 grit on my random orbit sander - shifted it fairly well until it died (Curse you Black & Decker and your inferior sanders! )

Anyone know where I can get hold of 40grt 1/2 sheet paper? Tried eBay, screwfix, sheds etc..

Do they even make it that corse?

Cheers.
