Hi,

Just moved into a house with 5 or so year old 440Cdi with a Comfort dual channel programmer but no thermostat.

I would like to add a nest thermostat and understand the wiring requirements, but wonder if someone can clarify what to do with the old programmer.

I assumed it should be disconnected as the nest takes over heating control and it's not needed for hot water?

As it's uses built in contacts rather than a ribbon cable I can't just disconnect it and removing it would leave a gap that would need a blanking panel re-fitted?

So to summarise:

Do I fully disconnect the comfort programmer?
Can you buy a replacement blanking panel if I remove it?

Thanks in advance.
