50cm cooker hood & 50cm cabinet?

I think it is 220mm high, and will need a elbow on top to turn the vent through the wall.

The first hood you linked to is designed to be fitted beneath a small cabinet above and usually the small cabinet and extractor fit between normal size cabinets either side. If you were to get your supplier to make you a slightly wider cabinet then any units below wouldnt line up with the wider one above.
Extractors that fit I to the bottom of cabinets like the second link will by design steal cabinet space as the fan mechanism is quite large and has to go somewhere.

Are you cramped for cupboards or worktop?

Have you considered a hob with downdraft extraction as an alternative?

50cm cooker hood would fit under a 50cm cupboard , they don’t fit inside the cupboard ?

Or under a 500mm top box or bridging unit, though it would be too high to reach for storage. It would hide the duct and the top of the hood. You could even use a 500mm door as a dummy, just to fill the gap, and fixed or hinged to the units on either side.

I'm redesigning part of my kitchen in a very cramped space.

I have never bought new kitchen units before and wish to ask, if I buy this 50cm wide cooker hood will it fit into a 50cm wide wall cabinet? I suspect 50cm is the exterior width of the cabinet and so internally it will be a couple of cm narrower. Is that right or am I missing something?

For example, I bought a 60cm wide oven and it fitted into a 60cm wide base unit.

thank you for help

Your link points to a 50cm hood. I would expect that to fit in a 60cm cavity.

A 50cm unit will have an internal area of 50-(2*1.9)= 462cm

Oh, and what is it with your profile picture being lifted from istock? You are not obliged to submit photos (of yourself someone else)?

I have solved the problem by getting a 100mm square extractor fan instead.

Why are you searching the internet for my profile photo? Trying to get my real name and location?

Not at all. And unless you were daft enough to make both public domain, how would I be able to do either?

I am always suspicious when someone on this site posts a (human) profile picture. My internal cynic alarm starts ringing. From time to time we get spammers or what appear to be bots. On occasion, they will use a lifted stock picture, presumably because it makes them look legit. If you are neither, I apologise.

Are you now saying that you have decided to drill through the wall, above the hob and just below the ceiling cabinet, and fit a regular extractor fan?

Edit- I see from your latest thread (posted just before your last post in this thread), you have now decided to forgo an oven or fixed hob and will use two single counter top hobs and an air fryer...

Would a "spammer" or "bot" really be posting on this forum across a range of subjects, for 15 years? (you can see my joining date under the photo you have been using to search for me online). To what possible end?

Yes you are correct about drilling the wall but its not above the hob as there won't be a fixed hob any more. Yes it's a regular extractor fan sold as suitable for kitchens and bathrooms. We checked the law and this is all that is legally required. My kitchen fitter has spent the last hour drilling a 110mm hole through a 30cm Victorian brick wall (and don't my eardrums know it!?!) I took a photo and a 30-second film. Will that prove to you that I am not a "bot"?

Indeed I have been very bold, brave and radical in not having a hob or an oven!

The reason I use the photo that I do on here is that it gives a correct impression of my sex and age. I think this is a good idea so that people who interact with me on here can see that I am a woman and that I am elderly, which should make them comprehend why I sometimes sound so ignorant of modern ways and new technology and forgive me for it. If I posted a genuine photo of me you could have found my real name and address by searching google images because I have a social media presence and own a small business. I don't want to be that "exposed".

It says if you have an extractor and refurbish, you must put something in its place.
