We had our central heating installed last month and as far as we could tell all 6 were working. However, tonight I noticed the one in my sons room is not getting hot, even though the other 5 are roasting. What could be causing this? Thanks!
Combi Boiler, I believe it is a sealed system. at correct pressure.
The rad was getting hot a few weeks ago and the kids havent been complaining of being cold at night, only checked tonight because of these gale force winds and I noticed it was a bit colder upstairs.
The rad has a valve on it with the numbers 1-5 and it is on 5. My rad which is closest to the boiler was on 2-3 and i turned mine up thinking maybe I was staving off flow to theirs which is next.
rads were all bled and hot less than a month ago, totally new system installed on the 7th of Dec
Fixed! It was that lock valve. Kids must have turned it when they thought I meant for them to turn the numbers down. I put the heat back on and it went hot straight away, funny thing is, now the entire house (downstairs) seems warmer now that that rad is going.
