err I didnt do that!!

Are they the valves at the very front of the boiler?

I presume the one at the top in the '9-3 position' is shut and the one below it in the '12-6 position' is open'?

Any ideas why one would be open and one would be shut?

Cos you only need to shut one to stop the flow? ;)
Also I think you'll fin that if you put the plastic grilly bottom on the boiler, there's ONE hole to poke the key through.

OK, I'm a bit thick - this pic really looks like the underside of my Vaillant boiler (though I don't know what model I have, I can't find a model number on it anywhere!). Which are the filler valves - the ones right at the front in the square brass 'blocks'?
