9448+ Alarm

Hi British Gas engineer came to install smart meter. Unfortunately turned off electric for a couple of hours. On turning back on electricity the alarm sounded. I was not at home so my husband just turned it off at the wall. On returning home from work I was able to disarm it by pressing lots of buttons. Lots of red lights on panel. I have tried to input our normal code but I now can't sey it. I gave tried to change the code bit to no avail. I have read threads on the Internet about taking tye cover off and resetting the pins etc. By doing this will this wipe out the zones already set or just enable me to reset the code. I have switched it off again now at the mains thanks

Try 1234 , if it works it has probably defaulted and may need reprogramming , it will require a new battery
