A few tiling questions.

Hi guys just a few tiling questions.

1 - Will skimmed walls hold most tiles? two walls im tiling are studwork, with aquaboard (does this need tanking as well)

2- How long after tanking can i start tiling.

3- Do you tile upto the bath, shower tray and sink? or do you tile and then fit the tray sink bath to the tiles.

1 - Will skimmed walls hold most tiles?

up to 20kg per sqm on skim 35kg on plasterboard (tiles adhesive and grout weights)

two walls im tiling are studwork, with aquaboard (does this need tanking as well)

Are they in a shower/wet area?

2- How long after tanking can i start tiling.

Should tell you on the tanking kit,normally best overnight.

3- Do you tile upto the bath, shower tray and sink? or do you tile and then fit the tray sink bath to the tiles.

Fit the tray and bath first then tile,fit sink after tiling.

yeah the tanked walls are in the shower area
