Strange question I know, but anyway...

I'm redoing my bathroom and am buying a new wc. The existing toilet doesn't flush well, and seems to lack power. Can anyone make any recommendations as to decent syphon/flush mechanisms? My experience is that not all these are created equal!

Could be that the flush diaphram is split or torn and not lifting the water as it should.
Your new cistern will probably have a new style 4 / 6 ltr flush valve.

Kohler Patio or Twyford Galerie Optimise - I have both in my house and both flush number twos on the short flush unless you've had a really big curry.

Forget syphons, forget flush valves, fit a flapper valve.
Simplistic in design, easy to service, but there's little to go wrong.
