I can't understand why this judge thought it appropriate to hold a moments silence for a dead gangster.

I have long maintained that naive judges have a soft spot for criminals.

I suppose he had to.

I agree that it is a little ott and the guy didn't deserve any respect but the judge was probably damned whatever his decision.
