I have now lost all respect for any of your arguments

You can keep trying LadyLola and Space Cat but you won't get anywhere. Been there a million times.

You still havent proven to me the human body is not perfectly designed.

I suggested some potential improvements here:

And while we're at it, lets add a pro-active immune system with blood cells that multiply freely and attack anything not marked friendly.

Evolution doesn't necessarily lead to perfection. You're much more likely to end up with the best of a bad lot - and I doubt that even four billion years of evolution could produce titanium cored bones.   My fictitious species was grown in a lab. They just don't know it.

Same with the willy. Its wrapped in skin to protect it during delivery. Once delivered, the skin/packaging can come off.

So, by the same logic, the hymen should also be removed at birth. :) :) :)

This is where you dont see the bigger picture. Death is required, without it, the world would be overwhelmed with people and the resources would not be anywhere near sufficient enough to meet everyones needs. At the moment the world has enough to go around, but due to greed, corruption, waste, we see poverty and famine in many places. We have enough to survive. But lets say in 100 years nobody died, what would happen? Their would be far too many people on the planet comepeting for far too few resources. There would be world wide anarchy.

So, by the same logic, the hymen should also be removed at birth. :) :) :)

No. Thats the seal of approval. :) You know when you buy a bottle of medication or baby food, and they say "do not use if seal is broken"? same logic

anyway the 4 wives ruling was probably made more as a punihsment for men then anything. I mean think about it, 4 wives means 4 mother-in-laws!! What man would seriously want to be in that predicament?[/b]
Can’t argue with you there Naz.

I don't know the reasoning behind a muslim man being allowed more than one wife but the practice amongst mormons I do understand having worked with and had it explained to me by a mormon.
The mormon faith was being formed during the expansion across what is now America and fatalities among the menfolk was experienced from hostile natives. This obviously left widows and the religion solved the problem of destitute women and kids by allowing that woman to marry into another family. All in all a very practical solution I felt.
However, what then let it down for me was the ruling that no hot drinks such as tea or coffee were allowed, not to mention alcohol of course. So no boiling of water in unknown lands? Seems a bit soft to me.
On the circumcision issue I'm fully with Big tone, either God isn't perfect himself or else he's cocked up a bit(no pun really intended therte) and made a mistake when he created us. Also if it's a test of faith why is it done to small children who have no concept of God and faith? Why not wait until a persons 18th birthday at least so that he has had time to consider everything?

The same logic applies to Islam. At the time of the 4 wives revelation, there were a lot of wars and a lot of men were killed. You then had many women with children who had no means of supporting their families.

Men were therefore allowed to take more then one wife and marrying widows was recommended so that they had someone to support them and their children.

Actually I do. The Ossi aren't completely indestructible; they're just adapted to life on an increasingly dangerous planet.   But this is going way off topic ---

I can see where you're coming from here and I'm not going to argue because we both benefit. You can have all the virgins. All I need is one goddess from your reject pile. :D :D :D

Just a couple of quotes

The Qur'an itself does not mention circumcision.

In the time of Muhammad, circumcision was carried out by many Arabian tribes, among them Jews and Christians for religious reasons. The ritual dates back to the time of the Prophet Muhammad. According to tradition Muhammad was born without a foreskin (aposthetic).

So again only down to religious nuts. Nothing about hygiene, sensation. Just myth. All a load of B@ll@cks :D

People create all these fantasies around their beliefs

What makes me laugh is how different versions of the same religion have different views on the same subject
Its laughable and so misguided

Its so funny watching iron naz try to reconcile his own hypocritical opposing arguments that he resorts to made up childish excuses to explain himself.its really quite pathetic..and is prevalent in all religious types

Why are they so obssessed with willies any way

That's a bit harsh Space cat.....I think IronNaz has held his ground well, at least he didn't resort to swearing and insults like so many do.
To him his faith is a precious thing, even if we don't feel the same I think we should respect his point of view.

Because god is a sadistic perv and has told them to do it apparently.

What I’ve seen so far, (speaking as a rep for his faith), is a hypocritical, child abuse, porn star wannabe who thinks circumcision is just a joke.

He’s not selling it very well IMO. I take it back, I would not want him anywhere near my grandchildren.

I do think he's a nice and funny guy, someone I could get on well with if I met or had as a neighbour. We'd just have to steer clear of this topic I guess. They do say never discuss religion or politics...

I don't think he's held his ground well at all because the replies have not made sense and he didn't even bother to watch the link I provided. If you don't open your eyes how are you ever going to see? I can’t stand it when I put forth a logical, rational argument and get illogical, irrational replies.

But yes, he is a gentleman and I respect him for that. Please excuse if I have come on a bit heavy but I do draw the line where someone’s faith insists on, wait for it..... child abuse. If you come around to mine Naz I'll show you what one should look like :D

I take your point BigTone however, I would doubt that circumcision has any permanent detriment to a child in the long term, more important is that the child is then brought up in a loving home and family environment.
Looking at the bigger picture, I think there are far greater and more damaging forms of child abuse taking place in society that would concern me, one of the greatest being the total failure to bring up children with any respect for themselves and others....and thus turning out the 'monsters' that lurk around the streets today.
