Accenta mini lcd g4 bell is continuously sounding

Our Accenta g4 system has been flawless for years. Last night our external bell started to sound. System was unset. No idea what triggered it. Only way to stop it was remove red cable from the circuit board to the bell.

Figured battery needed changed. Did that today, connected everything up but the bell started sound again. No idea why.

Any suggestions please?

Faulty tamper switch on bellbox / corroded pcb in bellbox / short on cable

Thanks for replying - unfortunately I cannot access the bell box, dont have a ladder! Here's a photo of it from outside anyway for what it's worth. System works fine if I leave the red + bell cable out. I can set/unset and the keypad works .

ok no worries - ill work on that. are there any specific steps to take during changing out the backup battery that I might have missed? Do I need to reset anything or do anything in a particular order?

I doubt if it’s the back up battery …unless it’s leaked and corroded the pcb …off top of my head it’s away from pcb on that bellbox

yeh the backup battery is in the first photo in the main unit, just cut off at the bottom sorry. Once ill get a set of ladders ill share a photo. If there is anything I should check please let me know

There’s a battery in the bellbox ….
I would be looking at the tamper switch and bellbox pcb …
