Accenta8 Alarm - Dead or Alive?

The power looks good.

Alarm on backup silenced with code.

This is normal and sounds like the panel is operating normally.

If it is not responding after this is, it is usually not properly powered up or a tamper on a keypad, global or lid of panel or bell box i still present and your locked out until the issues are addressed.

Make sure battery and mains power is on.
Make sure no tamper faults are present.

enter your code and the system should silence, if everything is as it should be be then you should be able to start doing the manual features.things with the panel like enter the engineering (assuming you have engineers code or setting the system.

TBF, that was the only way I could return ADE panels to life after a crash.

Not had that myself, other than when the user doesn't remember the codes and the default ones don't work.
Then again I swear blind on doing certain things certain ways on certain panels as it works for me but if you ask Tech support they don't know or say you shouldn't do it that way.

Made me laugh when I asked about masking a certain detector to reduce the field of view and what could be achieved, not masked a detector for a long time now and as the design isn't standard I was double checking on what the recommendations were. Told not on any of that range of detectors, then told by someone else to use a different product in that range of detectors, however they also stated why and that made them lose all credibility as it contradicted the the marketing and manual of the said product.

RESULT ..... All now back up and running as it should be. Proper chuffed.

Thanks to all above who participated in the thread.

And what was the issue ?
I can only assume a memory crash?
The reset, programming and subsequent tests have all been positive resulting in the return of all settings and the alarm with the existing keypad functioning.
