can anyone help. I have an accenta 8 mini and the door switch does not work. It is connected to zone 1 on the panel and is reading as it should (wit a multimeter) when the door is opened and closed. When the alarm is setting and the door is opened the tone of the beep does not change also when entering the house when the alarm is set nothing happens.

When you set the alarm and leave the door open is zone 1 shown with a red LED on zone 1 on the keypad ?
Has the alarm been working ok for a while ?

No when the door is open and I set the alarm zone 1 does not light up.

Try tapping the door contact with a screwdriver handle on the door.
Contact may be sticking

Ye I’ve tried that and nothing happens.

Post photo of door contact and how it is wired.
You will need to take it of the door frame to show this

Easiest may be to twist contact wire together and open at door to test

If I twist the wires together won’t the alarm think the door is permanently closed?

Yes
Take alarm pair of the contact and leave open
Set alarm
Does zone 1 led light up red,if so close pair and does led go off.
