Hi
I am about to instal a cctv on the front of my house (bungalow) just under the soffits. Is it possible to access the inside of the soffits from the loft? Basically, if I crawl along my loft right to the edge, would I end up inside the soffit? Im hoping to run the cables through them.
Thanks

It's sort of possible but generally the soffit is below the height of the house wall, and you are in a tight corner.
Some soffits will have timber running from gutter to house making a route tricky, some don't.
But it's possible to use a flexible rod to go from outside to inside the loft and leave a string.

You might find that there is a soffit route but it depends.....

Depends on the house ....I know after 30 years of installing various security ....some are bricked up on the inside course some are not ....

Irrespective, there is always limited access to the soffit area from the loft, unless the rafters are about 18" deep, lol.

On our house not very easily, check you have not got a sloping bit between the ceiling and wall on the upstairs as that can make it more tricky. In our case that area is full of insulation too.

You can often poke some cable rods up from the outside and into the loft and then fish the cables. But you certainly can't do much else from within the loft - at best you can contort yourself down into the eaves and pass one hand and no arm over the wall plate, and nothing more.
