When getting a rewire does the height of swicthes n sockets etc have to be between 450 n 1200mm? Or is that just for new build?

It is for new build but there's nothing stopping you putting yours at that height if you want to.

You only have to apply the new DDA heights to new build properties, and fully refurbished properties. (i.e. a house which is fully gutted and stripped right back to bare brick)

However some BCOs (wrongly) insist on the new heights for a straight rewire. If you are getting the BCO involved then it is best to check with him.
