acclimatising laminate

I want to get cracking with laying some laminate but the box says to leave for 48 hours to acclimatise? Is this necessary? :LOL:

where was it stored for the last 2 weeks including transport !!!!

if you can be shure it was continuously above 16 degrees and an average of 18 degrees [on b&q shop floor for example but not in a reps garage}
then you will probably be ok but you will be more proned to expansion problems on long runs [2 or more connected rooms]!!!
 
it was in B&Q for most of its life by the look of it, then transported from there to my house. :D Just too impatient. :LOL:
