I am installing an aco alongside this path edge (red string line will be top of aco drain)

It’s an old 1902 property and the path is all over the shop so across the width of the patio some parts of the patio will be level with the path and some will be lower (i am installing level L to R and sloped back to front)

There will be some big gaps behind the ago channel where it meets the path (see red string line)

Is it ok to install ACO like this and pack behind with a wet concrete mix or should I install flat top concrete edging across the path edge and use this as a straight edge to fit the ado alongside?

I am installing flat top concrete edging across the sides and top of the patio but was just going to leave it where ACO is going

Cheers

Either method will be fine though installing the concrete edging would be my choice as it would be much neater.

Yes I was thinking the same
You don’t think the concrete edge would look silly next to the path edge?
