Just after a bit of info.. I need a extra socket near the existing one but the existing one is a spur ... I know it is better to feed off the ring main but this would need quite a lot of work ..so would it be possible to feed off this existing spur if I fitted a fuse just before it arrives at the existing socket...if yes what size fuse would I need ..it will be feeding a tv/lamps

Thanks, EFL... I will start this tomorrow after work.... just curious if I fit a 13amp fused connection unit would you be able to add more than the two if I ever needed it or is there a limit?

No, along as your extra sockets are connected to the load terminals of the 13A FCU, you can have as many as you like, they will be protected by the 13A fuse.

Of course the downside is you cannot have much in the way of heavy loads on those sockets.

Thanks secure... I was just asking the question and the only thing that will be on these sockets will be a tv/lamps
