Hi,

As per the subject, is it possible to add a second PIR to work with an existing light with built in PIR? I would like to add another 'detection' zone and these can't be covered by the built-in PIR.

The light is an IQ hi-lo (IQ-73CA180-150-D).

I'm assuming this isn't possible and will require the light to be replaced (non PIR), then add a couple of standalone PIR's? Or are there such things as dual PIR floodlights?

Thanks

Whether you can or can't depends on the internal wiring between the PIR module and the lamp module.

Very often there are three wires to the PIR sensor. Live and Neutral to supply the PIR electronics and a Switched Live back from the PIR to the lamp.

If that is the case with your lamp then a second PIR can be connected. The Switched Live from the new PIR has to be connected to the Switched Live from the lamp's PIR
