Before doing anything, you need to find out what is the rating of the MCB protecting that socket and what cable size it is wired in.
If it's a radial circuit, you can happily add another socket.
If it's a ring circuit, with those two sockets already being a spur from the ring then it's not allowed to add another socket if the cable size is 2.5mm. The socket on the right will need to be removed too.
However, if there is a FCU before the two sockets then it's fine and you can add another socket but you'll be limited to the fuse rating in the fcu.
Where does that cable entering the socket from the top come from?
Can't you run an extension lead?
