Good morning all. Having been woken up at 4am this morning by someone buzzing our flat non-stop, I thought I would investigate adding some kind of off switch to the intercom buzzer. I believe it's as above, and so in theory I can wire a switch before the 11 terminal I think...? Then presumably cut a hole in the casing somewhere to mount it...

I only have very basic electronics experience. Can someone tell me if this is a viable plan, if I'm going to inadvertently cause some damage, or if there's a better option? Many thanks!

Thanks. I'm not sure how to isolate it. Can I safely touch the wiring?

Yes it will only be around 12v AC , post picture of handset , with front off and side picture

I can post a side picture if you like but there's not much to see beyond this. The casing on the wall is about 10mm in width.

I normally fit a toggle switch on some handsets as per picture ( this one is about 25 years old ) lol
