I have been doing some work in my sisters house and she has decided that she wants to add a few lights underneath a panel on her landing. I have provided a diagram which I hope gives enough information. The wall and underneath the ledge are both hollow. She wants to remove the wooden ledge and replace it with a glass panel. She wants to have approx three standard bulbs or possibly spotlights under the glass panel. As you can see from the diagram I have marked the positions of the lights and switch position. Would this
1. Be an easy enough job for me to do and how as I have done minor electrical work such as replacing sockets, light swtches and ceiling lights.
2. Better to get a qualified electrician.
3. Run a wire with a plug on the end through the wall to the bedroom socket and plug it in when needed.
Thanks for you advice.
Phil.
