Adding radiators

Hi All hope you can answer a couple of questions I have.-

I am about to extend the central heating system(combi) into a new extension and am planning to use 2 existing rads removed from the house some time ago(cause im a cheapskate) when dry fitting them to the wall There was a sound of bits rattling around inside them, is this corrosion come loose, can I easily get it out, and could it damage the boiler?
