Afternoon, i have a shop and flat in one building that at the moment has one meter and i get one bill, but i want to get a second meter put in for the flat so i can have seperate bills for the flat tenants and shop tenants.

At the moment the flat and shop have there own consumer units.

Just want some advice on if this can be done and would i need an electrician need to do the initial setup, or do electric suppliers provide this service?

Thanks in advance

You need a spark and the supplier.

Get a spark in first, he can quote for his part of the work and advise you on what the DNO/Supplier will need to do. He could even liase and deal with them for you.
