Hi,

I've just moved into a flat with a secure entry phone, however rather than the buzzer just giving a sound when someone holds the button downstairs, it gives a long "jingle" for about 20 seconds. This is extremely annoying, not just for us but likely the neighbours too!

I'm wondering if it's possible for me to adjust the tone from my handset or if it's something that has to be set in the system? I think I've identified the handset as an Entrotec ED9, as listed here: http://www.entrotec.com/products/?prod_cat_id=14&cat_id=31

Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers

Did you read what you posted

Entrotec has found that this can be a real nuisance for some tenants especially in flats with laminated flooring etc. Our existing isolated design handset can now incorporate an individual call tone volume control that is adjustable by an engineer on installation.

The pdf attachment read on No1 that the system as a 25 sec tone that is the design.

It then goes on to tell you that VR5 is a volume adjuster which is set up on installation, but I'm sure you can take the unit apart and set this up again if you wish
