Morning all,

Just a quick question - What panels (i.e. the real make and possibly model) are ADT currently using for their domestic wireless alarms?

Is there a particular brand or is it more whatever the engineer picks up and installs? I know a lot of people mentioned that Galaxy panels were being used...

For their £99 intro package it's the Honeywell 'Le Sucre' panel which is wireless only and GSM connectivity.

The higher level domestic packages use the Honeywell Galaxy G2 (G2-12, G2-20, G2-44) range of panels. If wireless is required, then as the G2 is a hybrid (can do wired and wireless), an RF portal is added for the wireless devices.

Thanks for the reply socdesign!

No problem.

For the DIY'er, a Galaxy G2 wireless system with a portal and a couple of sensors can be picked up new on Ebay for:

G2-12 ~£30
Galaxy Prox Keypad ~£40
12V 7AH battery ~£15
IR8M Wireless Sensors or DC800M door contacts ~£25 ea.
RF Portal ~£40
External siren ~£25

Did they used to use honeywell's domonial kit at one point?

Looks like i have the 'Le Sucre' unit, From what I'm reading, its not possible to do a home install as it needs activating by Honeywell, though ADT?

Any ideas if this is a definite or if there is a way round getting ADT activating?

I understand the Galaxy boxes are just that - standard galaxy boxes which are programmed up the way the installer sets up, but the Le Sucre boxes are custom for ADT?
