Hi All

I'm building a non habitable outhouse amd confused as to where I out the tye DPC and cavity tray.

I have laid the raft.

I am 3 courses up with Eng bricks on outside and 1 block inside making both level.

By the time the outside patio is laid it will be 2 bricks (150mm) above it.

I have 4" roll of DPC plus a 600mm roll for the tray/vents.

Coukd someone explain please as I'm aware tye 4" DPC goes in now at 150mm on the outside.

Do I lay the tray as well on same course on outside but a block higher on the inside?

I can take pics later if needed or do a simple sketch.

It has 150mm cavity/100mm PIR going in as well.

Screed for inside is coming next week.

I've been doing with a mate who's a bricky/landscaper and I'm a spark.

Cheers.

Yes basically, but your internal dpc must meet the damp proof membrane for the floor, which you haven't mentioned.
If your mates a bricky, he should know!

Never seen anyone put DPC on internal blocks?

There is a dpm.

So I'm laying 2 layers of DPC on the third external brick?
One wise ur hormonal DPC and the other will go form the cavity tray (it just looks like 600mm wide DPC).

Cheers

All sorted.
I misunderstood it.
100mm DPC is on inside.
600mm tray goes on next block course down to outside brick.
Radon barrier in as well.
