Advice om boiler

Hi,

just had a new baxi boiler fitted and new thermostatic valves on all radiators, also a pre existing room thermostat on the wall to set the wall thermo - I understand that there is some kind of flow switch to this boiler that senses radiator demand as don't want the boiler going all the time- am I right? so do I set the wall thermo to a higher temp than the radiators in the same room, or what?

If you have TRVs on all the rads you shouldn't have a room stat.

The boiler flow switch operates as an interlock.

hi ali,
if you have a room stat. the rad. nearest should not have a trv.
as for the temp. if you set RS on say19/20 and adjust bedroom trv,s as required you should have what you want ie. cooler bedrooms and up to temp. lounge . try trv,s on setting 4 then 3.5 etc
if system hasn't been flushed ,get someone to do a drain down or two (hot) and then add inhibitor. your sytem will thank you for it.

and you will get better life expectancy from the boiler and less probs.
