I'm looking to swap out my bath taps with a bath/shower mixer. But as you can just about see (sorry not the best pics with the gap available) in the photos before we moved in here it looks like something had been leaking for a while and also some serious bodgery was done (no idea what those capped off tails were for possibly to feed the basin?). Looking at the pipe work it's 22mm hot and 15mm cold, the house did have a hot water tank at some point but that's all been replaced with a combi but left the original plumbing in place.

What would be the best solution to replace that mess? Pushfit flexi 22 to 3/4? and another 15 to 3/4 or would a better option be to reduce that 22 to 15 first similar to what they seem to have already done?

Cut out the dead legs and extend the pipework to the taps ,no need to alter pipe diameters. Use flexis if you wish.
