I need to replace my storage heaters with gas CH. The new combi boiler will be downstairs, with new rads both downstairs and on the 1st floor. Can anyone advise on which of two methods is the best way to run the flow and return pipes.
1) As the F and R pipes come out of the boiler, tee each pipe into two pipes and send one of the F tees to upstairs rads and the other F tee to downstairs rads. Also, do the dame with the R, ie. split it 2 ways between upstairs and downstairs?
OR
2) As the F and R pipes come out of the boiler, pipe the both upstairs to feed the upstairs rads first. Then, after the 2 pipes leave the last upstairs rad, drop them down through the ceiling to feed the downstairs rads?
Many thanks
