Hi, we had a small roof leak that left a small patch on a bedroom ceiling. The leak was fixed over a year ago so everything is thoroughly dry now. I have just repainted using Dulux magic white rich matt. No surprise the stain was still visible.
I covered the stain area and a little beyond with some ronseal stain cover - a white oil based paint. I have now put 2 coats of the dulux over the area and instead of the stain there is now a pinkish haze where the anti-stain paint was applied.
Does anyone have any suggestions. Do I need to re paint the whole ceiling with an oil based paint - if so what should I use - the anti stain paint was expensive!
