Hi
I painted the ceiling above the shower a few months ago and patches of it are flaking and cracking. Before I painted there was some condensation stains which I used a spray stain block. The cracking seems to be in those patches. Any advice on what I can do would be great. By the way I used a dulux vinal matt emulsion. Many thanks

There is nothing wrong with using Dulux matt in that location. You must however have adequate ventilation for the steam. Give it a good rub down and apply a coat of oil based undercoat, followed by a couple of coats of matt again.

Yes above is right, I would have said sand down the area, let it dry and use a oil based primer and vinyl matt over that.

I wouldn't use a standard matt over a shower - way too steamy for it. I'd use an oil based paint - it'll last years longer.
