Advice required for Mortar Colour

You can buy mortar dye which will give you the colour you want. A quick web search will find what you need and is available in powder or liquid form.

Red building sand.

Avoid using mortar dye.

If that's a relatively new build house, they tend to have used dye in the mix.

Matching is always trial and error, even down to what quarry your local merchants gets their sand from.

We sometime use a mix of different sand types to get the colour. I think using mortar dye is is a thankless error.
