I mentioned on here in January i had got my bumper replaced. (they garage done a good job). But i have things keep going wrong with my car.
Recently i had to replace a coil spring and Shock absorber and wheel alignment. it just feels like one after another. The garage says it is wear and tear (I had a service). Now it needs new spark plugs soon the fixings on the head light passengers side is going soon (all advisory) since October i have spent over £2k on wear and tear repairs. Should i look into getting rid of the car now?

If you have spent money maintaining the car, you can reasonably expect that the parts you have renewed will last for some years.

If you sell it and buy another, your new one might not have been well maintained and you might have to renew those same parts.

The parts you have mentioned don't fail down to lack of maintenance, just general wear and tear.......frankly, I'd be surprised if they had survived so far!
I'm not sure what you mean by the headlamp fixings though.
Think about calling it a day if the car has severe corrosion, or bad engine and transmission problems of course.

New cars and vans are very overpriced and used are a lot more than they used to be. I prefer to spend a few hundred on my 21 year old van each year than sink £10,000 plus into a much newer one. It's just dead money.

Biggest items I had to pay someone else to do was new clutch and DMF few years ago and a big one for £1000 when gearbox had to come completely out for a couple of replacement parts and a reseal. Apart from that, it's been mainly small bits and pieces over the years, most of which I do myself.

Well, I think two reasons, cars are able survive much longer than they used to, and new prices, have an effect to increase used car prices. However, there is still that massive value drop - as always, between buying new, and even a fairly new, but used car.

my last car the headlights kept coming on at night on their own with the car all parked up. I took it to a garage they said they had a look and said they had fixed it charged me over £800 then it started again. That’s why I’m cautious about cars/garages.
